Pixies state of Mind.

His girlfriend asked me to bring an ode to forty years of him. I interviewed her, his children, his brother, his best friends. The research kept returning to the same tension: the man who will start the wildest adventure without thinking twice, and the man who showed up as a stepfather to two boys without missing a beat.

The portrait is a head in two halves. The left brain holds the quiet: a man who meditates, who has learned to sit still. The right brain is the fireworks, the spontaneity, the stories everyone has about him. Both sides equally present, equally him.

Steel, marble, clay, glass. 85 x 55 x 12 cm.
