The Adventures of Lola.
Created to mark the birth of Lola, this work celebrates the beginning of a life still unwritten.
Her parents met through friends and formed what they describe as a natural balance. A dancer and a thinker. Movement and reflection. With Lola, that circle expanded.
The sculpture takes the form of an open book. Its pages remain blank. From its centre rise symbolic elements, forming a vertical composition that suggests growth, guidance and unfolding possibility.
The book does not narrate. It invites.
This was the second Ode I created. At the inception of Custom Ode, the concept was still abstract. I began by making works for people who had, in different ways, shaped my own life. These early pieces laid the foundation for the language that would follow.
